REQUESTS FOR MEDIA CREDENTIALS NOW BEING ACCEPTED FOR

TD BANK PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL CYCLING CHAMPIONSHIP

PHILADELPHIA (May 9, 2012) Applications are now being accepted for a select number of photography and press credentials for the TD Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championship taking place Sunday, June 3, 2012.  Credentials will be made available to working members of the media covering the men’s and women’s professional races for print, radio, TV and Internet outlets.

To apply for media credentials, visit, www.procyclingtour.com and click on the Members of the Media, click for credentials link (bottom left of the home page).

If you have already applied, you will be notified via email by the communications team if your application has been accepted.  You will be contacted no later than Friday, May 18th if your application has been accepted.

Pro Cycling Tour (PCT) receives hundreds of requests for credentials each year.  However, in order to ensure the safety of the riders and to allow those press who have definite assignments the opportunity to complete those assignments, PCT only issues a limited number of all access passes. In order to best serve the press corps, all applications are carefully reviewed and will receive a response.  Decisions will also be made according to size and reach of the publication with priority given to those with the largest circulation/reach.

If an application is not accepted, media are still welcome to come to the race and cover it.  All race courses are open to the public for viewing, and there is plenty of opportunity to observe and photograph the cyclists around the courses during the four and six-hour races.

Photographers hired by race teams must request credentials from their team or the technical director.   Media credentials will not be issued to team photographers.  Should a team wish to have official photographs from the official PCT photographer, the team should contact pr@procyclingtour.com for special arrangements.

To be credentialed, all media must apply online at www.procyclingtour.com and are required to submit a written letter of assignment (from an editor) on the letterhead of the contracted media outlet.  This “proof of assignment” must be emailed to pr@procyclingtour.com or faxed to 215-568-3909.
