Adegeo Energy Pro 
This first year domestic pro team is made-up of pros from many other teams from last season. So while unknown as a whole the individual parts do have the experience, including Australian Cody Stevenson who has experience racing in Australia and Europe before coming to the U.S.
Amore e Vita 
Ukranian Yuri Metlushenko put this team on the map here in 2008 with a sprint win in the Reading Classic. If the race comes down to a sprint he is one to watch.
Bahati Foundation
Team founder Rahsaan Bahati is not only a multiple time U.S. criterium national champion and one of the fastest in the U.S. peloton, but started The Bahati Foundation to support youth in inner-city and underserved communities through cycling.

Bissell Pro 
Brothers and teammates (not necessarily in that order) Ben and Andy Jacques-Maynes are a talented duo. Ben has many wins in the top U.S. stage races and can climb with the best. Andy is more of a breakaway opportunist, which he showed in the long breakaway on the third stage of the Tour of California.
BMC
An American team that has made a huge leap in status for 2010 is the BMC Racing team. In the off-season the team signed some major talent, combining it with its roster of up-and-coming Americans. One of those is John Murphy, who's is the reigning US national criterium champion. Teammate Jackson Stewart won the Lancaster race in 2006 while Chad Beyer is having a good year winning the sprint title and finishing second in the King of the Mountains competition at Switzerland's Tour de Romandie.
Danish National Team
The Danish national team consists mostly of younger riders but is captained by a veteran of the sport Sorren Petersen, who spent many years in the U.S. racing with the renowned Saturn program.
Fly V Australia 
The current leaders of both the the National Racing Calendar's individual and team standings is Fly V Australia, with Aussie sprinter Jonathan Cantwell who finished in the top 15 last year and is coming off a strong Tour of California. The team also boasts Canadian Charles Dionne who is a strong climber that can win out of a breakaway.
HTC-Columbia
Returning to defend the title is the world's number one ranked team, HTC-Columbia, which won the race in 2009. The team is already turning in major wins through the first half of the 2010 season. From sprinting to climbing this team wins all kinds of races thanks to its deep stable of talent, an ability that serves a team well in a race like Philly where the challenging nature of the course makes for a different race every year. This year the team is bringing Matt Goss who recently took out a major victory, winning the field sprint in a stage of the Giro d'Italia. American Craig Lewis is also coming, bringing good climbing skills for the Manayunk Wall.
Jamis / Sutter Home
This team's main weapon is top domestic sprinter Ivan Domniguez who has wins in every major U.S race except Philadelphia. As well, breakaway specialist and Philly-native Tyler Wren is back looking to do something special in front of the hometown crowd.
Jelly Belly 
The Jelly Belly team was very aggressive in the recent Tour of California, putting riders into breakaways. 2008 Olympian Mike Friedman joined the team this year and recently won the overall at the Tour of Korea. Sprinter Brad Huff is one who can mix it up with the best of them if it comes down to a field sprint.
Kelly BenefitStrategies 
A domestic team looking to make the jump to more international racing this year is Kelly Benefits Strategies. Racing from Thailand to Korea to Uruguay, not only are they racking up the frequent flier miles but also the wins. Riders like climbing specialist Andy Bajadali and West Chester's own Scott Zwizanski have top wins from 2009 and into 2010.
Kenda Pro p/b Geargrinder 
This team may be the biggest dark horse of the race. A second year pro team formed out of an elite amateur program had a quiet 2009. But in 2010 the team has grabbed some talent from other pro teams, including Italian Luca Damiani and veteran U.S. pro Jonny Sundt. Chad Hartley is the team's sprinter with many criterium wins under his belt.
Liguigas - Doimo 
This team has some of the fastest sprinters in the world and recently had a lot of success at the Tour of California, winning three of the eight stages. If the race comes down to a field sprint Francesco Chicchi is ready, with five sprint wins in various stage races already this year including the Tour of California. As well the team is bringing young sensation Peter Sagan who is having a break-through season so far, winning two stages and the sprint jersey at the renowned Paris-Nice race and back-to-to back stage wins, along with the best sprinter and best young rider jerseys at the Tour of California.
Spidertech p/b Planet Energy 
This all-Canadian team, under the direction of on of Canada's most-famous cyclists Steve Bauer, has its sights set on being the first team from Canada in the Tour de France. Their roster has a good mix of speed and breakaway talent. Kevin Lacombe finished an impressive sixth last year, and four-time Canadian champion Martin Gilbert who has three stage wins in 2010 and a major win at the 2009 Tour of Missouri.
Swedish National Team 
Consisting of young and developing talent this team netted a top ten finish here in 2009. This year's team is led by 23 year-old Jonas Bjelkmark who is a former junior national champion and has the most experience in international races. Another former junior national champion is Jonas Ahlstrand who is the team's experienced sprinter. At just 20 years old he has already racked up numerous top ten placings at high-level events this season, including Holland's Olympia Tour
Team Mountain Khakis 
This team is geared for the many criterium races that make up the majority of racing in the U.S. Riders like Mark Hekman, winner of the 2009 USA Crit Series and Adam Myerson do have the speed to contend if they can survive the 11 times up the Manayunk Wall. Recently retired Scott Moninger took the reigns as director this year.
Team Type 1 
The only professional team in the world with riders who have Type 1 diabetes, they also have some experienced pros. Davide Frattini won the climbing competition last year by riding in the long breakaway, and he recently rode in the long breakaway on stage 3 of the Tour of California. The team also successfully defended the King of the Mountain jersey at the Tour of California, a major accomplishment.
United Healthcare p/b Maxxis 
The United Healthcare-Maxxis team is a multiple-time winner of USA Cycling's National Racing Calendar and a two-time winner of the TD Bank Philadelphia International Championship. The team has the depth of talent to challenge in a sprint with Aussie Karl Menzies or in a long breakaway with his fellow countryman Rory Sutherland who is always near the top rankings of the National Racing Calendar and was a top ten overall at the Tour of California. Canadian sprinter Andrew Pinfold finished in the top ten here last year.
US National Team
The U.S. national team is comprised entirely of members of the Garmin-Transitions U23 developmental program which has successfully placed young riders into the top levels of cycling. The current U23 national road and criterium champion Alex Howes is joined by Caleb Fairly who recently won the brutal Tour of the Battenkill in upstate New York with a solo breakaway.
Colavita/Baci pb Cooking Light
Theresa Cliff-Ryan is a former U.S. national criterium champion, which means she can sprint with the best. And as a Philadelphia resident she will have the home field advantage.
HTC-Columbia
The race favorite, Ina Teutenberg, is a three-time winner of Liberty Classic and current German national champion. She is backed by the strongest team in the race as well with riders that could themselves contend for the win. Kim Anderson won the Route de France in 2009 and Linda Villumsen won the prologue at the 2009 Tour de l'Aude.
Noris Cycling
The Noris Cycling Team is the new incarnation of the Equipe Nürnberger Versicherung team that has had a lot of success in the Liberty Classic over the years. Germans Angela Hennig and Trixi Worrack recently had strong results in the prestigious women's Tour de l’Aude race in France.

A new team for 2010 that has a lot of veteran racers, including Lauren Tamayo who recently won a gold medal and a world record in team pursuit at the Pan American championships in Mexico. Shelley Evans won five stages and overall at Tour of New Zealand and just won gold in the Pan American Championships Road Race. Mara Abbott is a former U.S. national road champion and just won the overall at the Tour of the Gila and stage at Tour de L'Aude, finishing second overall.
TIBCO/To the top 
This U.S. team can really challenge for the win with Brooke Miller, 2008 U.S. road and criterium champion, the only woman to win both in the same year. She is paired with the current U.S. road race champion Meredith Miller. Ruth Corset is the current Australian national road champion.
Team Vera Bradley Foundation
Alison Powers won the National Racing Calendar series in 2009 and is a two-time U.S. national champion. Guest racing for the team is mutiple-time Canadian national champion Anne Samplonius.
Webcor
Amber Neben is a former world time trial champion that is great riding solo. Katheryn Mattis is a former U.S. national road champion while the young Joelle Numainville is the current Canadian U23 road champion.
